Delivery

GENERAL DELIVERY INFORMATION

Deliveries begin at approximately 8:00 AM and continue until all scheduled deliveries for the day are complete. Regrettably, due to the hundreds of deliveries that must be routed, it is impossible to give exact time calls. For your convenience, you may prearrange to have a Leon’s representative call your home or office 1 hour prior to the estimated time of arrival. We would appreciate it if you would be home on the scheduled day of delivery.

A signature of a person 18 years of age or older is required on all delivery orders. That individual must also accompany the delivery crew into your home or apartment. If you are in a condominium or apartment building, please ensure the service elevator is booked in advance.

Please note, for the safety of our delivery crews, and to expedite the delivery process, there are absolutely no C.O.D orders under any circumstances. All balances owing must be paid in advance at least 2 days prior to delivery or alternative delivery dates will have to be arranged.

Pin hinged doors can be removed to complete a delivery. However, carpentry work such as removing doorway moldings, banisters, etcetera, cannot be done. Our delivery associates are required to wear safety footwear at all times and cannot remove their boots but will put on protective boot covers and/or provide coverings to protect your floors.

Please ensure your driveway and walkways are cleared to accept the delivery (i.e. remove snow and ice). As well, please clear the path inside your home to the area where your purchase is to be placed. All pictures and any fragile items in narrow hallways or in stairways should be removed prior to delivery.

When unusual or difficult delivery conditions are encountered, the customer will be advised in advance of the risk of damage occurring. The customer then has the option of signing a damage waiver or having the merchandise returned to the store and reselecting other products.

Due to insurance regulations, we cannot be responsible for any damage incurred by moving any items not purchased on your invoice. Also, we are not responsible for damages caused by any third party that may have been referred to you by anyone in our company.

A restocking fee may apply if unwrapped furniture, bedding, appliances, or electronics do not fit through the doorway or in the space intended. Please measure the units and your premises, including stairwells and doorways prior to delivery.

Signature / Photo Required

To help protect you from theft and fraud, we require the person listed on the order to show valid, government-issued photo ID and provide their matching signature at the time of delivery.

DELIVERY DATES

We will do everything reasonably possible to deliver your purchase on the date shown on your invoice. However, some dates are clearly marked as “tentative” meaning the goods are not currently available in our warehouse. Any tentative date is NOT a promised date due to manufacturing or shipping delays beyond our control. You will be advised when on-order goods have arrived in our warehouse. We appreciate your understanding.

YOUR SALES RECEIPT

Your sales receipt will be provided to you at time of purchase or you will be emailed to you. Please keep your sales order as it contains all the information you, Leon’s Furniture, or the manufacturer’s service depot may need to assure you of prompt service should the need ever arise. Please have your receipt ready should you call for any reason.

SPECIFIC DELIVERY INFORMATION

WE ARE PLEASED TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING SERVICES WITH YOUR DELIVERY.

FURNITURE & BEDDING

We will uncrate or unpack your new items (with the exception of products marked as “ready to assemble” or “customer assembly required”) and we will set them in place. Due to health regulations, soiled or stained upholstery or bedding cannot be moved by our professional delivery associates unless it is pre-wrapped by the customer. We also cannot disassemble any existing furniture in your home to complete the delivery.

MAJOR APPLIANCES

We will uncrate and move your new purchase into place, but for insurance reasons our drivers cannot connect it to the electrical, plumbing, or gas outlets. Installation services are available for an additional fee through our partners at Trans Global Services. If you want an existing appliance moved to your curb, for safety reasons, the piece must be disconnected and/or drained. Old appliances will be moved to your curb, on a one for one basis only*, if they are reasonably clean and if it is safe to do so. A damage waiver must also be signed. Built-in wall ovens, cook tops, hood fans, microwaves, dishwashers, etc., will be left in their factory cartons.

ELECTRONICS

All televisions will be removed from the carton for inspection only. For insurance reasons our drivers cannot set up, mount, or connect a TV to any other equipment or electrical source. Installation and setup services are available for an additional fee through our partners at Trans Global Services. Contact the customer service department of your local Leon's store for assistance in adding.

All other electronics will be left in their factory cartons. Please review your owner’s manual for any operation or installation questions or concerns.

HAUL AWAY

Leon’s cannot be responsible for the disposal of old furniture and electronics. The drivers may remove these items from the household to the curb on a one-for-one basis*, providing a damage waiver is signed by the customer (e.g., one sofa delivered, one sofa removed). Leon’s provides an option to dispose of bedding and appliances for an additional fee at the time of purchase. All bedding must be sealed in a mattress bag prior to the arrival of the delivery team. A mattress bag will be provided at the time of purchase for each item. Appliances must be reasonably clean and must be disconnected and emptied prior to the arrival of the delivery team. A damage waiver must also be signed prior to the drivers removing the product.
